Mike Lewis’s professional oil and gas industry record provides a solid and industry respected foundation which is vital for Monarch Gulf Exploration's project generation, evaluation and selection process.  His 28 year expertise in the oil and gas industry began in 1979 with a BS in Geology and took him directly to well-site geology, where truly vital experience is developed.  Extensive and continuous duties have advanced his knowledge, covering all aspects of oil and gas prospect development, including management of all required processes, from prospect development through production.  Equally important is a vast expertise in geological software and hardware designs for analysis of seismic and geophysical data.  Mr. Lewis’s combination of both field and management service is a direct advantage that Monarch Gulf Exploration brings to the Broker/Investor sector.  Mr. Lewis has worked with or directly for such major industry leaders as Dome Petroleum, Gulf Oil, Conoco, Lyco Energy, Harkin Oil and Gas, Brigham Exploration, Halliburton’s Integrated Services Group and many others.  Additionally, his work has taken him to locations both domestic and international to perform on site consulting.  Mr. Lewis played a lead role in the initiation and development of the recent horizontal Bakken Play in the Williston Basin, and performed managerial, geological and operational roles on projects in over half the states of the US and  concessions in Queensland, Australia. He is currently the President of Discovery GeoServices Corporation, Dallas, Texas, a position he has held since he founded the company in 1980. Mr. Lewis is also an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG).

Mr. Miller will serve as Monarch’s Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Accounting from Texas Tech University.  Mr. Miller has been a board member of the Indonesian Petroleum Association, a director and member of the Board of Governors of the Oil and Gas Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and a member of the Capital Cost Recovery and Foreign Source Committees of the American Petroleum Institute.  

Mr. Miller began his career in public accounting.  Mr. Miller has experience in both executive and project management.  From 1981 to 1998, Mr. Miller served Maxus Energy Corporation and its subsidiaries in many capacities, including as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Midgard Energy Company, and President and General Manager of Maxus Southeast Sumatra, Inc.  Since 1998, Mr. Miller has owned and operated his own company and provided consulting services for GeoPetra Partners, Jefferson Wells and JNet Enterprises, Inc.

Mr. Walker acts as principal legal advisor to the Company.  Mr. Walker is engaged in the private practice of law with emphasis in oil and gas, and commercial and business litigation.  He has been a member of the board of directors of several public companies and currently represents a number of corporations.  Mr. Walker was formerly general counsel of Reichmann Petroleum Corp. located in Tarrant County, Texas. 

Mr. Walker received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of St. Mary’s School of Law, San Antonio, Texas.
